Glass that is recycled is turned into abrasive blasting material, aggregate for road fill, jars, bottles, decorative tiles.

Recycled paper is turned into toilet tissues, paper towels, paper liners for packaging, printing, copying paper, building insulation, animal bedding, and cardboard boxes. To make new paper, the old is mixed with water and heated to reduce it back to pulp. The pulp is sent through filters in order to remove contaminates such as staples and paper clips. After washing and de-inking the pulp is spread over a rotating screen, pressed, and dried to make new paper. Paper can endure the recycling process approximately 7 times before the fibers become too short.
